she’s been my eraser for almost a year now, and we grew very attached to one another
we used to walk down the hall together
we ate ice cream with each other
but everything changed when she started cutting
we started arguing
she started drinking
spending all of our money
and she even stopped being the great eraser I once knew
worst of all, I caught her cheating on me with another stationary utensil

The Trap Rug
If you were really cruel, you could have actual steps down to a basement like that, but then paint the edges and glue down a fringe so it just looks like a rug. ‘Til someone steps on it.
